We are a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and training Vermont’s workforce since 1939. Founded amidst the Great Depression by the visionary Montpelier Ladies Garden Club, our organization emerged from a crucial need for transformative social change in mental health care. These pioneering women recognized mental health as a fundamental health issue, deserving the same attention and care as all other aspects of human wellness.
