New Moon & Yule Gathering — December 20, 2025 At Appalachian Oddities • Free Community Event The final new moon of the year rises just in time for Yule, the celebration of light returning after the longest night. This powerful moment invites reflection, release, and renewal — a chance to let go of the old year and welcome fresh beginnings. Join us for a night of community, connection, Festivus fun, and winter magic. We’ll share laughter, intention-setting, games, and rituals to honor the turning of the seasons. Guests will be greeted with festive tinsel necklaces and a “Guess Who?” character for our all-night game. Throughout the evening we’ll host an Airing of Grievances station, a few lighthearted Feats of Strength, a Yule Altar and Treats Table, a Pinecone Intention Ritual for 2026 wishes, and a Yule Release Ritual to send off the burdens of the year. Bring a dish, snack, or treat to share if you’d like, and come as you are. Dress warm and festive — cloaks, ugly sweaters, witch hats, or whatever makes you feel at home.
