Reformer Pilates: Intermediate

This Intermediate Reformer Pilates class is designed for students who have built a strong foundation through our Reformer Intro, Beginner, and Beginner Progression classes and are ready to challenge their strength, stability, and control at the next level.
Please note: Participation in this class is by invitation only. Students must demonstrate proficiency in the Pilates Principles and receive approval from a Restore instructor or apprentice before attending.
š Pilates Principles Required for this class to move safely and effectively at the intermediate level, clients must exhibit:
Concentration ā Focused attention on each movement, allowing for deep mind-body connection.
Control ā Mastery over muscular engagement and movement patterns to prevent momentum-based movement.
Centering ā Movement initiated from the "powerhouse" (core), with visible strength and control through the abdominals, back, and hips.
Precision ā Clear alignment and purposeful execution of every movement.
Breath ā Coordinated, intentional breath to facilitate movement, control effort, and reduce tension.
Flow ā A continuous, smooth rhythm to movements that reflects understanding and integration of the above principles.
