Saxophonist extraordinaire Chris Andrews returns to the Fitton Centerwith his quintet to pay tribute to the mid-century jazz master, John Coltrane. Coltranes1960 landmark album Giant Steps his first for Atlantic Records pushed him to unprecedented heights and became the gold standard for bop jazz. So much so, the Library of Congress selected it for preservation in theNational Record Registry in 2004. It earned Gold Record status unusual forjazz records in 2018.
