Nature Play for Pre-K Nature Play for Pre-K invites all participants ages 3-5 for our Nature Play series, exploring a different topic every month. This series is hands-on with a discovery focus. We will start with an introduction inside and then head outside to explore, so please come dressed and prepared for the weather! This seasons dates and themes are... Nature Play: Leaves Friday, October 24 10:30-11:15 a.m. In October, we will explore the trees around us and see how their leaves are changing colors. We’ll go on a short walk, look at the trees and count how many have red, yellow, orange or even brown leaves. Let’s find out how many colors we can spot and learn why the leaves change in the fall. Come join the fun and discover the magic of autumn! Nature Play: Turkeys Friday, November 21 10:30-11:15 a.m. Gobble, gobble! This November we’ll learn all about turkeys – where they live, what they eat and the fun sounds they make. We’ll start the program making your own personalized turkey craft. Nature Play: Tracking Friday, December 19 10:30-11:15 a.m. In December we’ll explore which animals stay around for the winter – even if we don’t always see them! We’ll look for clues like tracks, feathers and nibbled leaves to figure out who’s been nearby. What animal signs do you think we’ll discover? Don’t be late – you’ll get to make your own special animal track to take home! Preregistration is required. Included with the price of admission. Payment for children attending is made online at the time of registration. Accompanying guardians/family will be charged regular OAC admission fees at the front desk.
