Join us for the Third Friday Tours at Fort Ancient and Octagon Earthworks, where you can explore the rich archaeological heritage of Ohio. Each month, Archaeologist Bill Kennedy will lead a walking tour at Fort Ancient, focusing on pre-contact American Indians and the remarkable Hopewell earthworks. The tour begins indoors before moving outdoors, with accessible options available for those with limited mobility. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for children (ages 6-17) and seniors (age 60+), while children 5 and under and Ohio History Connection members can attend for free.
Simultaneously, at the Octagon Earthworks, Senior World Heritage Archaeologist Brad Lepper will guide a free tour starting at 12:30 p.m. on the same third Friday, with additional ongoing free tours available Wednesday to Sunday.
