Guests will have the opportunity to complete two activities in the STEM Center with the museum's education team. Public tours will take place throughout the day as well. Catch a tour; do one or two activities; and have fun during your visit at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum. Activities:SOLAR SYSTEM STEP-OUT: How big is our solar system? Students will get an idea of how far apart the planets are by taking steps between each planet, while discovering fascinating facts about the solar system's planets and their unique features. Solar System Step-Out Times 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. BLACK HOLES: Using balloons and aluminum foil, our educator will engage students in an interactive discussion about blackholes, explaining what they are, how they form the science behind their incredible gravitational pull, and their role in the universe. Black Hole Times 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Guided tours:These last about 45 minutes and will take place at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. No RSVP required. Guests must pay general admission at entrance to join the tour and activity. Guests can join the activity or tours as they choose. Space is limited to 25 persons for each activity or tour time slot.
