Join us for a special day at Mark Twain State Park on July 19, 2025! The event kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Ben Sapp Memorial Trail at 10 a.m., located at the trailhead near the fish cleaning station off Highway 107. Following the ceremony, a town hall-style public meeting will allow attendees to engage with representatives from Missouri State Parks regarding Mark Twain State Park, Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site, and Union Covered Bridge State Historic Site. This meeting presents a great opportunity for public input on the parks' current status and future plans, fostering community interaction. Plus, families are invited to enjoy Children's Story Time at Ha Ha Tonka State Park every Thursday morning in July from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., featuring nature-themed stories and crafts. Don’t miss these engaging community events!
