Join us for a full day celebrating Ohio’s incredible biodiversity and rich conservation history as part of the America 250 celebrations! This flagship BioBlitz event invites nature lovers of all ages to help us discover, identify, and record as many species as possible across Mosquito Lake State Park in just one day. Event Highlights: Morning Guided Surveys: Explore birds at dawn, plants mid-morning, and insects and amphibians by afternoon with naturalists, wildlife experts, and local university partners. Afternoon Partner Booths: If your organization (Scouts, 4H, Master Gardeners, Birding groups, etc.) wishes to take part, contact Jason at jason.lee@dnr.ohio.gov. Self-Guided iNaturalist Challenge: Use the iNaturalist app to log your wildlife sightings all day long — every observation helps us learn more about our park’s natural treasures!
