• Nelson Ledges Trail • Hike Rating: Moderate — uneven terrain, ledges, and icy conditions possible • Length: ~2 miles Winter transforms Nelson Ledges into a breathtaking wonderland of frozen waterfalls, snow-dusted cliffs, and quiet hemlock groves. Join the park naturalist for a guided hike through some of the park’s most scenic areas as we explore the fascinating geology that formed these ancient sandstone ledges and the hardy plant and animal life that endure the coldest season. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather—portions of the trail may be slick or uneven. At the end of the hike, participants can collect a 2025–26 Winter Hike Series sticker (while supplies last). Come experience the stillness and magic of winter at one of Ohio’s most striking natural landmarks! Photos: John Trevelline
