The St. Marys Community Public Library is offering two exciting programs for children and teens on Wednesdays.
On June 25th at 6:00 p.m., kids aged 6 to 11 can participate in a Tie Dye Craft event. Participants are encouraged to bring a new, washed cotton t-shirt or pillowcase (free of fabric softeners) while the library will provide the tie-dye colors and design techniques. Adult supervision is required, and registration is necessary by calling (419) 394-7471. This event is supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Additionally, creative writing classes for teens are held every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Young Adult section. The writing sessions explore themes like "The Color of Ideas" and "From Canvas to Page," encouraging participants to craft imaginative stories, characters, and worlds. These classes not only foster creativity but also enhance critical thinking skills.
