Sound Meditation Experience at Massanutten Resort In this ever-increasingly busy and loud world, meditation is proving to be a powerful antidote. It is important that we find quiet spaces where we can turn off the outside world and deeply relax. This is class is intended to help provide an opportunity to experience meditation in a quiet space using the method of sound meditation. While meditation is very helpful to us, it also can feel intimidating to some and hard to accomplish at times. It's nice that we have some tools and practices we can use to help calm the mind, and sound meditation is one of those tools. Using singing bowls, gong, chimes, and more Greg Burns of Metta Vibrations will lead this class through a sound meditation session. The sounds from these instruments have been known to help the mind move into more relaxed states and Greg is an experienced practitioner who has been leading meditation classes for a number of years. Along with the meditative quality of this experience, it is often reported to have additional wide-ranging benefits such as pain relief, improved sleep, and more. It is an experience that is hard to describe yet offers unique effects for each attendee. What: Sound Bath Meditation Experience Cost: $30 No previous experience necessary for this class. Great for beginners as well as those experienced in meditation. Participants will be offered a yoga mat for lying down or a chair for sitting, and all attendees will receive a Massanutten yoga towel to take with you. It is not necessary to bring anything with you to the class, although you're welcome to bring a meditation crystal or blanket.
