Join the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors as they celebrate the grand opening of the Robert G. Teach Nature Education Center on Wednesday, July 30 at 5:00 PM. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the Fruth Wetland Nature Preserve, located at 10130 W. State Route 18 in Fostoria. This exciting new facility marks a major milestone for Seneca Parks and the broader community. Designed to support public education and environmental engagement, the Robert G. Teach Nature Education Center offers visitors a chance to learn, explore, and connect with nature in a purpose-built space surrounded by scenic wetland habitat. The center—named in honor of local conservation advocate Robert G. Teach—features the park district’s first climate-controlled public facility. It includes an activity room, an outdoor education area, indoor/outdoor restrooms, and dedicated office space for program and administrative staff. Guests are invited to tour the building and enjoy the surrounding trails that loop around the Fruth Wetland—the site of Ohio’s first completed H2Ohio water quality project. We invite the community to join us for this special event and help celebrate a transformative addition to local environmental education. For more information, call 419-447-4141.
