Artists at the Center presents: Monamor - Canciones That Tell Stories Sunday March 1, 2026 at 4pm, Armory. Free Join Monamor for an intimate 90-minute acoustic concert celebrating Latin American music. This five-piece ensemble performs boleros, son cubano, cha cha cha, and cumbias through both classic interpretations and original compositions influenced by Latin jazz and gypsy jazz. Led by Colombian vocalist and composer Monica Ramos, the band shares cultural context before each song, transforming the performance into a musical journey through Latin America. Come ready to listen, learn, and dance as rhythm transcends language barriers in this warm, inclusive celebration welcoming audiences of all ages and backgrounds. The project is made possible by a 10-year grant from Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Kraken. Join us as we introduce emerging and established artists and celebrate their talent on Seattle Center campus. Artists are given a performance opportunity, allowing them to connect with new audiences, display their talents and advance their careers. Visitors to campus and the surrounding neighborhood benefit from surprising and delightful pop-up performances throughout the year. Each year, artists are selected with an equity and social justice lens, ensuring equitable representation for underserved and emerging artists. Artistic genres include music, dance, theater, demonstrations, and multi-disciplinary work.
