The Shining

"The Shining" is a 1980 psychological horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick and based on Stephen King's novel. The story follows Jack Torrance, a recovering alcoholic and aspiring writer, who takes a job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel with his wife Wendy and their psychic son Danny.
