From artists such as The Temptations, Wilson Pickett, The Four Tops, Santana, and The Eagles, they bring these Rock And Roll hits to life on stage. These are songs you may remember listening to on a transistor radio or hear these days on an "Oldies" station. Their songs are timeless and the band has a lineup of five vocalists giving you the sounds and harmonies that most of you will remember from your younger days. And the back line musicians are just as good in preserving the feel of the original recordings. Formed in 2019 in the Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia area, the SML Boomer Band donates all of their proceeds from performances to support many different charities and non-profit organizations throughout the local area. This show is especially important in that three Franklin County charities have come together to bring you this event....Helping Hands, The Warming Shelter, and Stepping Stone Mission. Also, thank you to Franklin County and to the Harvester Performance Center for supporting the show. All of the band members met after retiring at Smith Mountain Lake and decided to donate their time and talents to help support their local communities. In doing so, they perform about ten shows per year in the area. It is true that they are retired, but the energy of their performance will have you singing along, clapping, dancing (on the dance floor or in your seat), and listening to music that brings back good memories. Whether you are a longtime fan of the band or a first-time listener, enjoy the music that moves generations. After you leave the performance, you may realize that one of the songs you heard at their show is still stuck in your head. You can find the SML Boomer Band on Facebook: to catch upcoming shows and join the fun.
