Homeschool Clay ClassFriday 11pm-1pmA hands-on, creative pottery class designed just for homeschool students ages 10 and up! Over 4 weeks, students explore clay techniques while building confidence, creativity, and community in a supportive studio environment. What We’ll Learn:• Clay fundamentals: wedging, handbuilding, shaping forms• Creative techniques: sculpting, texture, carving, and surface design• Glazing: applying color and finishes to bisque-fired pieces• Studio care: respecting tools, space, and shared materials• Intro to wheel throwing when students are ready and focusedWhat’s Included: Clay, tools, glazes, and firing Step-by-step instruction and individual guidance Small-group setting for focused learning Cleanup and studio responsibility time built inClass Experience:• 1. 5 hours of guided instruction 30 minutes cleanup/community time• Create both functional and sculptural ceramic pieces• Return to glaze and take home finished work• Emphasis on exploration and enjoying the process over perfectionWho It’s For:Homeschool students ages 10 interested in hands-on art, creative problem solving, and working with their hands in a calm, welcoming studio environment.
