Join Butler SWCD for a conservation volunteer event at Gilmore Ponds MetroPark. We will be picking up trash along the recreation trail, wetlands, and canal. This area is an important habitat for herons, bald eagles, turtles, mink, and much more! Due to storm-water runoff and recreational use of the bike trail, a lot of trash has been collecting in this area. We will have grabbers, bags, and gloves available for volunteers to use while they help to clean this habitat for the wildlife. What to bring: If you are planning on cleaning up on foot we recommend wearing rubber boots. We ask that you please register via the link below. This will allow us to reach out to participants with any necessary changes. You have two options: 1. Clean-up on foot along the trail and water's edge. 2. Bring your own canoe/kayak and clean-up on the water. Register: www.signupgenius.com/.../60B0E4EABAB29A3FD0...
