Join Houston Audubon in a creative class where youll learn how to draw birds and foliage. Participants will take a stroll through the Garden for inspiration and then create a work of art to take home with them. Whether youre a beginner or have some experience with drawing, this class will guide you step-by-step as you bring nature to life on paper. Avian Artistry is open to participants age 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their preferred art supplies, if desired. Non-member Ticket Price: $12 Member Ticket Price: $0 (included in general admission benefit of membership level) Instructor: Cin-Ty Lee, Houston Audubon board member, geologist, and bird researcher and artist. What to bring: Camera and/or binoculars (Houston Audubon will have a limited number of binoculars to borrow) Refillable water bottle Personal art supplies, if desired What to wear: Comfortable, breathable clothing for summer weather Comfortable walking shoes Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for Summer Saturdays programs.
