Details:
Dish gardens are small, attractive plantings that make use of shallow containers. They often mimic real-life landscapes from deserts to forest floors. The customization options are endless! Lovingly prepared dish gardens make the perfect gift or holiday centerpiece. Join us for a tutorial on how to craft your own unique dish garden, followed by the opportunity to create one to take home or gift to a friend or family member. We will supply all of the materials needed. This class is appropriate for adults and children ages 5 and older. Each 60 ticket for non-members (or 45 for Garden members) includes all materials needed to create one dish garden. This is a great collaborative craft, so, you can add on a general admission ticket to bring along a helper to work on the dish garden included with your class registration. We recommend no more than two people working on a garden. Houston Botanic Garden offers free parking for day-time events, which are held rain or shine.
