Looking for an opportunity to SERVE in our local community? We are putting together teams from Riverbank Church to assist the team at the Listen Center Community Dining Hall prepare and serve the community meal on EVERY FOURTH FRIDAY of the month from 2:30-6:30pm. The Listen Center Dining Hall serves nearly 40,000 meals per year and provides frontline support for those in our community facing food insecurity, isolation, health issues, homelessness, among other dire needs. By helping to serve our neighbors in this way, we can shine some light and share the hope we have in Jesus. IMPORTANT DETAILS:As a church, we are covering a 4-hour shift on every 4th Friday of the month. However, those shifts can be split into 2-hour increments for those who cannot serve the entire time but still wish to participate. Please inquire for further details. Age/Staffing Requirements - we need at least 4 people (ages 12 & up) to help serve in the kitchen for each meal. Children under 12 cannot be in the kitchen, but are allowed to help in the dining hall with desserts and cleaning. All children who participate must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and a signed waiver will be required. We will be limiting signups to 8 per meal, which may vary depending on the ratio of kids to adults, etc. Because we have committed to the Listen Center to provide helpers for these specific dates/times, we ask that everyone also remain as committed as possible to their selected times, and to gives as much change/cancellation notice as possible.
