The Grammy-winning quartet brings the Belonging Tour – featuring music from Marsalis’ Blue Note debut Belonging – to the Concert Hall. A full album reinterpretation of Keith Jarrett’s 1974 ECM album of the same name, Belonging is Marsalis’ first new quartet release since 2019. After nearly four decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics. Branford Marsalis: Saxophone New Orleans-born Branford Marsalis is an award-winning saxophonist, band leader, featured classical soloist, and a film and Broadway composer. In the process, he has become a multi award-winning artist with three Grammys, a citation by the National Endowment for the Arts as a Jazz Master and an avatar of contemporary artistic excellence. Joey Calderazzo: Piano With an esteemed career that includes collaborations with legends like Michael Brecker and Jack DeJohnette, Joey Calderazzo has recognized as one of the finest pianists of his generation, and has been an integral member of the Branford Marsalis Quartet since the late 1990s. Eric Revis: Bass Grammy Award-winning bassist and composer Eric Revis has anchored the quartet's rhythm section since 1997. Known for his thick, percussive sound, Revis has performed with numerous notable artists, including Betty Carter, McCoy Tyner, and Peter Brötzmann. Justin Faulkner: Drums Philadelphia native Justin Faulkner joined the Branford Marsalis Quartet on his 18th birthday in 2009. The acclaimed drummer’s early training included studying classical percussion and jazz drums, leading to sharing the stage with luminaries such as Kenny Barron, Pharoah Sanders, Orrin Evans and Terence Blanchard.
