The City of Tehachapi and Westlane Brewing are excited to present the 2025 Green Street Get Down Concert on Saturday, August 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. on Green Street. Bring your dancing shoes and lawn chairs to enjoy live performances by Sammy Ramone and Video One. This is an all-ages free concert. Local breweries will be serving their craft beer, several food trucks will offer a variety of food, and Tehachapi Vineyard Church will be providing free water. Sammy Ramone is a SoCal punk-rock, reggae band playing your favorites from bands like Sublime, Dirty Heads, Stick Figure and more. Sammy Ramone will open the show from 6-7:30 p.m. Video One will bring the best of the 80’s with covers of new wave hits from The Cure, Billy Idol, Tears for Fears and more. Video One will headline the show, performing from 8-10 p.m. The Green Street Get Down Concert is another fun event included in the Mountain Festival weekend happening August 16 and 17. The concert pays homage to the street dance held in 1915 to commemorate the first electric streetlights installed in Tehachapi. The site of the original dance was held at the corner of Green and F Street. Throughout the early years of the Tehachapi Mountain Festival, a Saturday night dance typically accompanied the other festivities. Now, this tradition is being brought back to life with the Green Street Get Down.
