Master the wet on wet watercolor technique in this 2 hour workshop led by watercolor artist, Caroline Porter. In this class, you’ll learn how to control water and judge the wetness of paper. You’ll also learn other techniques such as lifting, bokeh effect, and using salt. This class is great for people at either beginner or intermediate level. To help students gain confidence, students will paint a smaller version first as practice. Using skills learned in the practice piece, students will then create their final artwork on a slightly larger piece of watercolor paper. Just $30/person **Limited Seating** Preregistration is Required LOCATION: St. James Community Education at Armstrong School located at 500 3rd Ave S, Saint James, MN 56081 DATE & TIME: Tuesday March 10th, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM About the Venue: This event is hosted by St. James Community Education located at 500 3rd Ave S, St James, MN 56081. Please enter through Armstrong School's main entrance, door No. 11. Workshops are held in the Board Room which is around the the hallway to the right and on the right side of the hallway. I advise students to come about 10 minutes early to allow plenty of time to get settled in your seat. Lastly, feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages as they are not provided. I just kindly ask that you clean up after yourself if you do bring food and/or beverages and that the community education center is apart of the school, therefore, no alcohol please. Important Notes: Instructor will provide all necessary materials for this class, however, if you would like to use your own materials (i.e. paints or brushes), students are more than welcome to bring their own. Refund Policy: Refund requests within 48 hours of the event will not be issued. Please understand that this is due to material costs and limited seating. Refunds requested before that will be issued but note that fees associated with Square MAY NOT BE REFUNDABLE.
