Join us in a family friendly celebration for New Year’s Eve! We’ll be dropping a cheese block at 5pm with the help of the Monroe Fire Department. 5 PM central is midnight in Switzerland! 3:00pm Beer Garden Opens 3:30-4pm Flame Twirlers 4:00-4:15pm Monroe High School Cheerleaders 4:30-4:45 Flame Twirlers 4:45 New Glarus Yodel Club 5:00 Cheese Drop Plus! There will be Blumer root beer, face painting thanks to Monroe Junior Optimists, hot chocolate from Sunrise Donut Cafe, fire pits, and Alphorn players performing, cheese samples, a frozen tee shirt contest, trivia at Spilled Grapes Wine Bar starting at 3pm (led by Mayor Doulgas), community mascots, crafts, and a brown Swiss Cow thanks to Wegmueller Farm! Event is being brought to you by Cactus Co Booze N' Bites and Bartel's & Co Tap, hospitality tent by Kirt and JoAnne Leuenberger, with support from GFWC Monroe Woman's Club, Chalet Cheese Co-op, Family Chiropractic Monroe, Baumgartner Cheese Store, Minhas Brewery, Colony Brands, Alp & Dell, Klondike, Zimmerman Cheese, Maple Leaf, Maple Leaf Cheese Store, with special thanks to Joe Snow on the Monroe Fire Department and Janice Douglas and Tom Witt at Monroe High School. The Garden Deli will be open until 6pm Beyond Crafty will be open until 7pm
