Juneteenth commemorates when the enslaved men, women and children of Galveston, Texas, became freedmore than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. At Orchestra Hall this Juneteenth, hear stirring pieces written and performed by Black artists alongside the Minnesota Orchestra. Guests are also invited to explore a vibrant curated vendor space in the lobby, featuring ten African American-owned businesses.
