This is the first part and the second part is taught on October 18th/p/br pLuminary is a quilt which allows you to explore color theory and create a wall hanging size quilt in a color “Strada” of your choice. The class anticipates the actual fabric selection to occur during the first class but, if you have fabrics you would like to incorporate feel free to bring them to the class. /p pThe class will be taught over two Saturday sessions which will cover a little color theory, a slide show of various Luminary quilts made by others and complete instructions to enable you to make your own Luminary Quilt. You will be provided additional construction instruction to compliment the pattern instructions and help ensure success making your quilt. /p pAppropriate for Beginner to Intermediate quilters. Construction is very forgiving (not a lot of accuracy required as you sew strips together) but the methods does lead to lots of bias pieces so some care is needed to keep your pieces from distorting. A little Best Press worked well for me. /p/br
