The Media Theatre is a professional regional theatre and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and nurturing imagination, diversity, and joy through musical theatre. They produce new and classic works, aiming to be a leader in musical theatre entertainment and education. The theatre provides a venue for entertainment, offers educational programming and classes for youth and adults, and hosts Broadway-caliber productions. Their mission extends to inspiring lives, improving lives, and educating through music theatre, fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in their youth programs. The Media Theatre also runs an Empowerment Program that provides scholarships and tickets to underserved youth to engage them with the performing arts. Originally a movie palace, the building was renovated and established as The Media Theatre in 1994, with the non-profit organization taking over management in 2000. They produce five musicals annually and have received numerous accolades for their productions.
