In the 1990s, mountain bikers in Greater Cincinnati had very few locations to ride singletrack mountain bike trails for recreational use. CORA was founded in 1996 by a group of dedicated riders with the purpose of building and advocating for more miles of sustainable off-road trails.
CORA has worked to change the discussion about trails in the community by building sustainable and connected trail systems. CORA has become highly respected not just for the work done in the woods, but for the countless hours spent engaging in our community and developing trail access for all in our region. Today, the Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance maintains 115 miles of multi-use natural surface trails for mountain bikers, hikers and trail runners. The CORA Board of Directors advocates and partners with local organizations to expand the region’s trail network, connecting the communities of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
