The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is hosting two important events for pesticide applicators and agricultural professionals in January.
First, the Pesticide Applicator Recertification Program will take place in Huntsville, offering a comprehensive 5-hour CEU program for $50, which includes lunch. Participants can register online at tx.ag/WallerCEU or by calling 936-435-2426 by the deadline of January 9. Attendees will learn innovative strategies and best practices, and will earn five Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units (3 general, 1 integrated pest management, and 1 laws and regulations). The day will conclude with a session by Andrea Richards from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Secondly, the East Region AgriLife Conference and Expo is set for January 16 in Tyler. Early registration is $10 until January 15, while onsite registration will be $20. This event will offer continuing education units from the Texas Department of Agriculture and Structural Pest Control Service, including a total of 5 CEUs (2 general, 1 laws and regulations, 1 integrated pest management) from TDA, and 6 CEUs (1 termite, 1 pest, 2 general, 1 weed control, 1 lawn and ornamental) from SPC.
