Celebrate National Honey Bee Day at Science Spectrum’s second annual ‘Honey Bee Day’ on August 16th from 10am-2pm on the main floor of Science Spectrum Museum! Buzz your way on down to Science Spectrum and celebrate National Honey Bee Day! Get up close and personal with honey bees from the Caprock Beekeepers Association. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on bee crafts, games, and experiments. FREE Activities include: ● Special Guests, Caprock Beekeepers Association, will be present with portable hives and other educational bee information. ● Make Honey Slime and learn about pollination with Science Spectrum’s Education department. ● Create bee-themed kids crafts with the Lubbock Children’s Museum. ● Make your own bee buddy with the FabLab. ● Explore more bugs while meeting Science Spectrum’s resident invertebrates. Honey Bee Day is included with standard museum admission and will occur on the main floor of the Science Spectrum Museum. While you’re here, visitors can check out additional resident invertebrates on display in the museum's collection of live animals and aquariums on the bottom floor of the museum.
