Bach to Basics: A Sight Singing Soirée (stand-alone event with NO PERFORMANCE)
If you want to improve your sight singing skills (and who doesn't?!) or just love the chorales of JS Bach, this session is for you! Our directors will teach you how to use Solfége (Do, Re, Mi, etc.) to sing a melody or harmony without hearing it first. Then we will use this method to sing some short Bach chorales. Don’t think you can do it? We think you can, so come give it a try! We promise to have an encouraging environment where everyone will be supported as needed. If you already know how to use solfége, we would love to have you there to support others and enjoy the camaraderie! This promises to be an educational and fun experience for all!
