Kenny Zara began playing guitar at age 5, performed before his first audience at age 9, joined his first band at age 12, started playing professionally at age 18, and worked as a full-time professional musician/singer/songwriter for the next 27 years. Over that time, he opened for many acts such as Kathy Mattea, The Guess Who, Leon Redbone, Crystal Gayle, Jerry Reed, Donnie Iris, Ronnie Milsap, Rodney Crowell, Ray Charles, Shenandoah and more. Kenny brings a full sound to the performances despite being a solo performer! In addition to guitar, Kenny also plays bass, drums and keyboards and records backing instrumentation for most of his songs. This provides a full band sound, without necessarily needing a full band’s volume. Kenny can be as loud or soft as the occasion calls for.
