Free Film Screening & Q&A with Filmmaker Tom Whitus. This Western began as a conversation at the American Film Market in Las Vegas and quickly grew into a full script written with West Virginia in mind. Though set in Colorado in 1877, the film was shot entirely in West Virginia, using locations like Jackson’s Mill in Weston and a farm in Buckhannon. Filmed over 12 days in July with a cast and crew of 25—many of them West Virginians—the project is a true homegrown production. Writer, producer, and director Tom Whitus, along with key cast and crew, will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A. Admission is free, and the community is warmly invited.
