Gus Macker Returns to the Valley: A Slam Dunk for Buhl Park In 2024, Gus Macker made a thrilling return to the Shenango Valley after a decades-long hiatus, drawing 104 teams and 411 players from 12 different states. With 8 food trucks, a slam dunk contest, a 3-point competition, 118 volunteers, and 21 sponsors, the event was a huge success, welcoming over 3,000 attendees. For 2025, were aiming even higher! Buhl Park sets the stage for a weekend full of recreation and fun. Players wearing wristbands get half-price admission to the pool, plus everyone has the chance to play on the nations only free 9-hole golf course. Snappys Floatin Boats will offer kayak, paddle board, pedal boat, and canoe rentals to explore Lake Julia.
