Mercer County Council on Aging will be joining with the Spiritual Center Retreat House in Montezuma, 6731 State Route 219, to offer Pickleball!!! Pickleball was created with one thing in mind: fun. It was designed to be easy to learn and play whether you’re five, eighty-five or somewhere in between. Pickleball is traditionally played on a badminton-sized court with special Pickleball paddles, made of wood or high-tech aerospace materials. The ball used is similar to a wiffle ball, but slightly smaller. The net is low like a tennis net. The game is played with two or four players. The lower net and wiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to test their mettle.
Whether you are a veteran player or have never stepped foot on a court, you are welcome to come join the fun. We have a free beginner time to teach the basics from 9:00 till 9:30!!! This is a really fun way to get out of the house and get your exercise! Join us for a fun filled morning of exercising and laughs! It is necessary to register at 419-586-1644. If you have questions, ask for Tash.
