The City of Duluth invites you to a special event to celebrate the revitalization and restoration of Munger Landing! This public celebration will take place on Tuesday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Munger Landing, located on Clyde Avenue. Join us and our partners from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WI DNR) as we recognize the successful completion of the Munger Landing Sediment Remediation Project. This major effort began in summer 2022 and involved: Dredging approx. 100,000 cubic yards of sediment and soil from the landing, channel, and wetland Placing clean sand to cap dredged areas Replacing the boat ramp and fishing pier Creating a sandy paddle sport launch area Removing invasive species and restoring native vegetation Enhancing fish habitat and spawning areas Enjoy remarks from City staff, Duluth City Council, and key community partners.
