Join David Schumann in a two day outdoor watercolor painting class on June 21st and 22nd from 12 PM – 4 PM. (Indoors in case of rain)
You will learn how to compose, draw and paint an outdoor scene behind the museum along the Chenango River area. David will demonstrate how to set up your watercolors and how he decides what to paint, how to frame the composition, and how to draw and paint the composition. Painting outside with watercolors is a relaxing and enjoyable way to take advantage of the warmer summer months.
This class is for students who have at least taken Watercolor 1 or have had some experience doing watercolor. This is not a basic class but intermediate to advanced.

Required Materials:
If possible 2 blocks. If using sheets of watercolor paper you must have a board to tape paper to.
Windsor Color Tube Colors (Ultramarine Blue, Permanent rose, and Cadmium lemon yellow)
(Optional Colors) Holbien Watercolors (Titanium White, Leaf Green, Verditer Blue, Shell Pink, Jaune Brillian #1, and Lilac)
140 lb Arches Watercolor Block 9×12 or Larger
A variety of sizes natural watercolor brushes in squirrel or sable. Rounds, squares, and one large wash brush synthetic or natural. 6,8, 12 at least.
A large flat watercolor tray with plenty of open room for mixing or a large portable pallet
A portable non breakable water container.
