Join Presidential Historian Dr. Larry Cook as he discusses several important original pieces from his private collection that have played a role in American presidential history. See one-of-a-kind artifacts and hear the fascinating stories behind them. Dr. Laurence Cook is a lifelong collector of presidential memorabilia and a presidential historian specializing in little known facts and the personal side of the presidency. He is the author of Presidential Coincidences, Amazing Facts and Collectibles. He has lectured at various events and historic places including several programs for the National Park Service. Along with his lectures he also displays museum quality memorabilia from his personal collection. He has appeared in various media outlets including C-SPAN, local television stations, newspapers and radio shows. He and his wife Diane founded the Plains Helping Plains initiative. The initiative is dedicated to formulating and managing projects that benefit Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter's hometown of Plains, Georgia. In 2011 he and his wife were made honorary citizens of Plains, Georgia and were presented with proclamations by President and Mrs. Carter. He and Diane reside in Dallas, Pa.
