Four Shows. Twenty Shorts. One hell of a host. Summer Shorts is back with 20 smart, funny, and new ten-minute plays performed script-in-hand over four performances. Each night features a different lineup of five short plays, brought to life by a rotating cast, live music, and Rhonda Sanchez, a fictional host created just for this year's festival*. We're collaborating with Villain Theater to bring Rhonda to life and present this year's festival at the Sandrell Rivers Theater, a state-of-the-art venue just one block off I-95 with free, dedicated parking. When Florida cut arts funding, we got creative. This years festival is the loudest, fastest, and funniest way for us to say we're defunded, not defeated.
