Celebrate the winter solstice with a guided snowshoe hike! Join a naturalist along the Minnesota River Bottoms trails to enjoy the daylight before the longest night of the year. Snowshoes will be provided. All experience levels welcome. Participants should be prepared for moderate activity level and able to travel up to 1. 5 miles. Trail conditions will depend on the amount of snow accumulation. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and temperature. Warm, waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Water and restrooms are not available on site. If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, we will go on a guided nature walk. Location: Meet at the Minnesota River Bottoms Lyndale Avenue Lot, 11115 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55420. Registration: Required. Register on Webtrac. Limited to 15 participants on first come, first served basis. Participants ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
