Anna Guyton (they/them) is a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based artist working primarily in photography and painting, with a practice rooted in representing the embodied self, reclaiming space, and fat queer liberation. Their photographic work emphasizes materiality through physical manipulation of prints, blurring the line between image and object. Their work has been exhibited both regionally and nationally, including a 2023 solo show Transfiguration at Creative Spaces, group exhibitions at Praxis Gallery (Minneapolis) , Interform, and The Walton Arts Center, and featured in publications such as The Hand Magazine, Suboart, and Lemon Car Lot. In addition to their studio practice, Anna leads workshops and has given artist talks at institutions like Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Anna earned a BA in Studio Art from Reed College (Portland, OR) in 2022 and is currently pursuing an MFA in Photography at the University of Arkansas.
