“Angels Weeping for Those Washed Away” is the world premiere of a new composition by nationally celebrated musician and composer, Hannibal Lokumbe. This composition pays tribute to those lost in the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina and of Kerrville, Texas. It is meant to be a source of solace and healing for those left behind. The concert will feature choir, flute, bass, drums, piano as well as two soloists.
“Angels Weeping for Those Washed Away” will take place at Calvary Episcopal Church at 603 Spring Street, Bastrop, in place of the annual Service for the Weary.
Doors will open at 6:30.
