**Dairy Barn Members at the Individual Level or higher enjoy a 10% Discount** This 8-week class meets Thursdays from 5:30PM-7:30PM January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 18 & 26 For Ages 16+ This two-hour evening class welcomes students of all skill levels who are interested in developing their painting abilities. Through guided exercises and individualized in-studio instruction, students explore the use of color, value, and form to create believable space on the canvas. Both beginners and experienced painters benefit from a supportive environment that builds confidence while strengthening painting fundamentals. A special emphasis is placed on understanding and managing color to enrich the overall painting experience. Working from still-life setups, each of the eight class sessions introduces step-by-step instruction in essential elements of successful paintings—including composition, perspective, and scale—and how these elements work together to achieve strong visual results. Early sessions also address proper care and maintenance of painting tools, along with an introduction to various painting mediums, brushes, and canvas types. Oil paints are provided for all students, as they are easy to manage, forgiving, and slow-drying—ideal for learning and exploration!
