Her expressive style and fearless originality allowed her to transform comedies into richly textured and enduring works. “Sleeper” is a zany sci-fi comedy in which a health food store owner wakes up 200 years in the future and, with Keaton’s lively character beside him, stumbles through a hilariously absurd dystopia filled with robots, disguises, and slapstick revolt. The film’s inventive satire and Keaton’s luminous presence helped cement it as a standout in 1970s comedy. Rated PG. 89 minutes.
