Amie Vanité is one of Eastern Pennsylvania’s most talented Drag Entertainers working for and owning AV Productions. Amie has performed at regular Drag Shows, Benefit Shows, Pride Festivals, Theatrical Events, Private Parties, and Children’s Events, as well as many other types of functions. With the primary focus of entertaining her audience by performing songs that tell a story or share a valuable life lesson, Amie is willing to go anywhere that she’s asked to make an appearance. She's been dazzling audiences across Eastern and South Central PA for over 18 years. Amie attended Kutztown University in Pennsylvania (majoring in Musical Theatre), has been involved in many Theatrical Productions in the Reading and Berks County Area since 1996, and has taken several years of ballet lessons. Amie has earned various Titles and Contest Accomplishments over the years. She has also been fortunate enough to be the first Drag Entertainer to ever grace the cover of The Rainbow Review, a now disbanded LGBTQ News and Entertainment Magazine, as well as having been featured and quoted in a few interviews and articles written by writers of The Reading Eagle. As previously mentioned, Amie’s stage time has not been limited to only performing at Drag Shows. While attending Kutztown University, Amie was known to put together “one-woman” impromptu shows, compete in dormitory pageants, and was frequently asked by many peers to perform for class projects. In 2008, Amie appeared in a musical revue fundraiser entitled “He Sang! She Sang!” for Genesius Theatre. She also performed in Berks Ballet Theatre’s 2010 Spring Production at The Miller Center in Reading, PA. April of 2010 saw Amie starring in a 1970s Disco-Drag Themed Murder Mystery Cabaret called “Bottoms Up” that was specifically written for her by a local writer and director. “Bottoms Up” ran for several showings at Genesius Theatre in Reading, PA and for one night only at The Nevermore in New Hope, PA. She made an appearance in the cameo role of “Mother Ginger” in Berks Ballet Theatre’s annual production of The Nutcracker in December 2010 at The Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA and performed at The Inn at Reading during Reading Civic Theatre’s VIP Gala in January 2011. Amie has also been closely involved with Reading Theater Project and has performed during their “Penn Street LIVE!” series in 2016, at their “Fringe Fest” in 2016 and 2020, as well as their “After Hours Cabaret” in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Amie has also been fortunate enough to model for Cie Ess Designs, wearing their hand-made beaded crystal jewelry, and has posed for several other professional photographers whose works have been published and/or put on exhibit. Amie had the privilege to model Merrill Weber's 2019 Chester County Art Association winning art piece ("Pretty Boy") that was designed, fashioned, and handmade from cardboard. Amie has also had the opportunity to meet and perform with a few celebrities including Tom Goss, Thea Austin, Hannah Hart, Linnea Sage, and Eric Roberts. With the opening of her own CABARET branded shows in November of 2010, Amie achieved royalty status as The Queen of CABARET. Her other titles include Miss Beck Hall 2006, Miss Basketcase 2009, Miss Red Star 2010, Miss Runway 2010, Miss Cheers Tavern, and Miss Malibooz. Amie started Pennsylvania’s first official Chapter of Drag Queen Story Hour in 2018 after presenting the program at Reading Pride Celebration that year. She entertains children at many Pride Festivals and other gatherings each year, catering to Eastern and South Central PA. Amie made her film debut in 2020 with the release of DUST NUGGETS, winner of the “Best Made in Reading” film award during the 2020 Reading FilmFest. In May 2022, Amie was bestowed honors as Reading Pride Celebration's first official Ambassador. When performing, Amie has been known to draw from a plethora of well-known celebrities for her inspiration.
