Details:
Your family tree starts here! Join our Local History Librarian for a monthly genealogy series. Participants can attend in person at the library or virtually via Zoom. Whether you’re a complete beginner, have dabbled in a little research, or a seasoned family historian this series has something for you. We’ll focus on a different topic during each session, exploring record sets and resources to help you successfully research your family tree. We will provide live demonstrations on the library’s genealogy databases and share additional resources for deeper investigation to enhance your research toolkit. Each session can be taken on its own, so you’re welcome to join at any time – though attending the entire series will maximize your learning experience. All live sessions will be recorded and made available on our YouTube channel to watch at your convenience. This month’s topic: Religious Records Religious records are great alternative records when you can’t find a vital record – or may include additional pieces of information. In this session we’ll learn about how to locate what place of worship your ancestors belonged to and discuss the different records that might exist to help further your research. Presented by Katie Stilp Registration: No registration is needed to attend the program in the library. Zoom attendees must register in advance using this link.
Room: Cornerstone Conference Room - Ground Level
